Joe first correctly states that “the deep truth is that no one has direct access to reality”. He shows convincigly how this aplies both to established media and emerging anti-establishment web sites. Remarkably, in the very next step he exempts himself from this restriction and through “big data” somehow gains access to the absolute truth and concludes that “institutional capacities can be built to make sense out of this”. It does not occur to him that he and his fellow scientists are no different from the rest of us:)
